THE WORST CHOICE OF ALL

I am tired of hearing reluctant Trump supporters say, “Trump is bad, and not my choice, but the alternative would have been worse.”

No other candidate who ran for the office of President of the 4 “major” parties (Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Green) could, or would, have been a worse choice for President, or any other office, than Trump.

No other candidate would have been as ignorant as Trump, and as uninterested in learning about the issues that face America and the world, thinking he or she knows more about anything than anyone else.

No other candidate would have been as incompetent as Trump.

No other candidate would have ignored or refused to listen to the advice of experts, advisors and allies, thinking he or she knows how to do everything better than everyone else.

No other candidate would have been as totally self-absorbed as Trump, and care only about feeding his or her ego and lining his or her pockets and absolutely nothing else.

No other candidate would have lied every time he or she opened his or her mouth – to everyone about everything every day.

No other candidate would have acted based solely on the chastisement of extremist commentators.

No other candidate would have constantly tweeted ridiculous, and un-American and un-presidential, nonsense at all hours.

No other candidate hero-worshiped and envied authoritarian leaders like Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-un, Xi Jinping, and Rodrigo Duterte and would have pandered to them or sought their approval and acceptance.

No other candidate would have refused to totally divest themselves of all business and investment holdings.

No other candidate would have damaged and diminished the integrity and credibility of the office of President and of America in the eyes of the world every single day.

No other candidate would have totally abandoned American values and democratic ideals.

No other candidate would have promoted, emboldened and empowered hate, racism and bigotry on a daily basis.

No other candidate would have been totally incapable of empathy and sympathy and devoid of humanity.

Trump is the worst President in the history of the United States.  Period.  End of story.  ANY alternative would have been better.

There is no good or intelligent reason to accept, support or defend Trump.  TRUMP MUST GO!

LET’S GET ONE THING PERFECTLY CLEAR

Nothing Trump says, tweets or does has anything to do with what is best for America, the American people or the world, or to protect and maintain American security, values or democracy.  Trump doesn’t give a rat’s hind quarters, or an airborne sex act, about America, the American people or the world.

Every single thing Trump says, tweets and does is solely to feed his ego, to maintain the roar of the crowd by his core cult of ignorant racists at his ridiculous rallies, and to line his pockets.  Period.

If Trump happens to accomplish anything that may be good or partially good it is only by coincidence or a fortuitous by-product of his real intent.

The fact that the Republican Party, and the Republicans in Congress, does not understand this is truly troubling.

But what is more troubling is the possibility that they do fully understand this, but don’t care.  And the possibility that they fear losing the support of Trump’s core cult of ignorant racists more than they fear the true damage Trump is doing and can do to America and the world.

Trump is a delusional, ignorant, incompetent and totally self-absorbed malignant narcissist and demagogue who must be removed from office as soon as possible by whatever means is available.

And the Republican Party must be “punished” for their embrace and support of Trump at the ballot box.

Have you got that?

THE TRUE NATIONAL EMERGENCY IS
TRUMP IN THE WHITE HOUSE

Trump, and Trump alone, is 100% responsible for the government shutdown – truly holding America hostage until he gets his nonsensical border wall.

But the Republican Party must share the blame for its continuance because of its accepting and embracing Trump’s wall and the lies he created to justify its need.

We must open the government immediately, forget the wall, and let Democrats and Republicans in Congress discuss, debate and properly fund legitimate methods of border security.  The Republican Party MUST “just say no” to Trump’s lies and nonsense.

There is no new or imminent threat or “national crisis” at our southern border.  Border security and immigration are ongoing issues that we have been dealing with for decades.

It is not that border wall = border security in the same way that Trump = moron.  The border wall is only one option, and a poor option that is not supported by experts or the majority of the American people.

A wall is truly a metaphor, and one that is in opposition to basic American values.  The most famous wall in modern history was the Berlin wall, although that was more to keep people from getting out of the country than to keep immigrants from getting in.  We all remember Reagan’s famous quote, “"Mr. Gorbachev - tear down this wall."

The shutdown, solely because of a manufactured national security issue based on lies and distortions, could actually cause harm to our national security.  Let’s think logically.

1. The bulk of terrorists or potential terrorists come through airports, a proven fact that even FOX NEWS acknowledges, and not via the southern border.   U.S. Customs and Border Protection encountered only 6 immigrants on the U.S.-Mexico border whose names were in a federal database of known or suspected terrorists, not the 4,000 Trump and his paid liars have claimed.

2. Airports are protected by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and customs officials.

3. The shutdown affects the TSA and customs officials.

4. If the shutdown diminishes the effectiveness of airport security it has the potential for allowing more possible terrorists into the country.

I recently posted on Twitter and Facebook that I believe I know why Trump thinks there is a national crisis at our southern border.  He must have seen the 1984 movie RED DAWN, where Russia takes over Mexico and uses it as entry to invade the US.  Trump does realize that this is just a movie – doesn’t he?

Actually, Russia didn’t need Mexico to “invade” the US.  All they needed was easily played narcissist Trump in the White House, which they wanted and got.

The bottom line – The issues of border security and immigration require intelligent thought and debate – and we all know Trump is incapable of intelligent thought.

IS A PUZZLEMENT

Continued acceptance, support and defense of unacceptable and indefensible Trump by the Republican Party and Republicans in Congress is truly a puzzlement.

Trump does not support traditional Republican or conservative politics or policies.  The Republican or conservative agenda is NOT the agenda of Trump.

Trump’s true agenda is 3-fold –

1. Feed his ego

2. Line his pockets

3. Please his core cult of ignorant deplorable racists so they will continue to cheer his every word at rallies (back to #1).

These three items, and nothing else, motivate every single thing Trump says, does and tweets.  He has absolutely no concern for the security of America or what is best, or even good, for America, Americans or the world.  He only cares what is best for Trump.

What Trump has allegedly accomplished for Republicans and conservatives – getting 2 supposed conservative judges on the Supreme Court and passing alleged tax reform – could have been done, and done better, by any Republican President, considering the Republican control of both houses of Congress.  These accomplishments have nothing to do with Trump.

Trump has continually acted contrary to true conservative philosophy and policies.  Trump is most certainly not a conservative, and, until he decided that the Republican Party provided the best chance for his candidacy, was not a Republican.  In the past he contributed more to Democratic candidates than Republican ones – although he contributed to candidates from both Parties for the specific, and acknowledged, purpose of buying potential personal influence and favors, and not because of any support of or belief in political objectives.

Trump the man, the businessman and the President has done every single “bad act”, consistently and unapologetically, that Republicans have criticized Democrats for in the past.  He has actually done every single bad act, often gleefully, that has ever derailed the political campaign of any politician, regardless of Party, many times over.

Trump has never performed a single totally unselfish positive act in his entire adult life.

Trump lies.  This has been proven over and over again.  He lies to everyone.  About everything.  Every day.  It is very literally impossible to believe a word he says.

It is impossible for a person of intelligence to support and defend Trump the man and the President – unless he or she is actually, like Trump himself, a racist or motivated solely by personal financial interests.  An intelligent person with a conscience can certainly support and defend traditional Republican and traditional conservative political philosophies and policies – but an intelligent person with a conscience cannot support and defend Trump.
