A
TALE OF TWO IMPEACHMENTS
Bill
Clinton got a blow job, probably several, from a White House intern while serving
as an elected government official. Let’s
be perfectly honest, this is not something that was uncommon in Washington. He lied about it under oath.
Basically,
the Republican Party impeached Clinton for cheating on his wife with an aide
while in office.
Clinton
did not reveal classified government secrets to the aide and did not force
himself on her; Monica Lewinsky was a willing participant.
As
a point of information, the Republican in Congress who led the campaign to
impeach Clinton for cheating on his wife with an aide while in office, Newt
Gingrich, cheated on his wife with a Congressional aide while in office. Actually, while he was denouncing and actively working to impeach
Clinton.
Donald
T Rump extorted a foreign government for personal political gain, using
Congressionally-approved foreign aid necessary for the security of the foreign
government as the basis for the extortion.
Trump did not lie about his criminal act under oath because he refuses
to testify under oath. But he lies to
the American people on a daily basis about many things, this included.
The
same Republicans, in many cases the exact same Republican Congresspersons, who
condemned Clinton and called for his impeachment for cheating on his wife with
an aide support and defend Trump and have no problem with a Republican President of the
United States extorting a foreign government for personal political gain.
I
guess this is why when you look up “hypocrisy” in the dictionary you will find
a picture of the official logo of the Republican Party.
